What the cartridge actually does

Behind the mesh sits an activated carbon block. Carbon works by adsorption: a single gram unfolds into hundreds of square meters of internal surface, and chlorine sticks to it on contact, along with the smell it leaves on skin and hair.
Catch the visible
A fiber mesh wraps the entire core and takes the first hit: sediment, rust flakes, and the grit old pipes shed into your water, trapped in the weave before they reach anything else.
Only one way out
Sealed caps close both ends of the cartridge, so there is no shortcut. Every drop passes the mesh and the carbon before it ever reaches the spray face.
