Questions, answered
What does the filter remove?
The filter is activated carbon, which is what takes on chlorine and the smell it leaves behind. We publish exactly what that does and nothing it doesn't.
Will it soften my water?
Honestly, no. Water softening needs a whole-house ion-exchange system. What Kleanglo does is reduce chlorine, which is what most people actually feel on their hair and skin. If a shower product promises soft water, be skeptical.
Will it change my water pressure?
Yes, it will boost your water pressure by at least 30%
How often do I replace the filter?
The filter needs to be replaced every 2-3 months depending on usage. It is recommended to set a reminder every 3 months to not forget.
Will it fit my shower?
It fits any standard shower arm and installs in about two minutes, no tools.
Is it hard to install?
Unscrew the old head, screw on Kleanglo, done. About two minutes. The first core comes pre-installed.
What if it's not for me?
Use it in your actual shower. If you don't want it, send it back and we refund you no questions asked.
When will I notice a difference?
Most people notice the chlorine smell is gone in the first shower. Changes in how hair and skin feel build over weeks of use, and they vary from person to person. We won't promise medical outcomes, because we can't.
Where does it ship from and how fast?
Our Filtered Showerhead ships from US. Expected shipping times are 3-6 business days.
I didn't believe it was the water either
I want to say that first, because if you're reading this rolling your eyes, I was you.
My hair used to be the thing people complimented. Thick, shiny, the whole lot. Then somewhere in my mid-thirties it just changed. It went dull. It started snapping off in the brush, little broken bits all over the sink. My ponytail got thinner every month and I could see my scalp through it. I'd check the shower drain after every wash like a mad woman.
I blamed everything. Stress, my age, my hormones. And I spent an absolute fortune. The bond builder, the oils, the masks, the salon shampoo. It would work for one wash and then I was back to straw. I genuinely started to believe it was just me, that this was getting older and I'd have to live with it.
Then a friend said something I couldn't get out of my head. "It's not your hair, it's your water." I almost laughed. But I looked it up, and my tap water is full of chlorine and hard minerals. And it clicked. My shower even smells faintly of a pool. I'd been washing my hair in the problem the whole time, and every serum I bought was just getting rinsed off the next morning.
So I got the Kleanglo one, honestly mostly to prove myself right or wrong. Five minutes to swap over. No plumber, nothing.
I didn't expect much. A few weeks in, my hair was soft again. Not one-day-after-a-mask soft, actually soft. There was barely anything in the drain. My colour stopped fading so fast. My scalp wasn't itchy. And the bit that made me a little emotional, my curl came back, the curl I thought I'd lost.
I'm not going to tell you it's magic. It didn't grow me a whole new head of hair overnight. What it did was stop the thing that was quietly wrecking it every single day. Turns out I didn't need another expensive serum. I just needed to stop rinsing my hair in chlorine.
If I could go back, I'd change the water first instead of last. It would have saved me about two years and a small fortune.

What stands between the pipe and you
Trap the invisible
Behind the mesh sits an activated carbon block. Carbon works by adsorption: a single gram unfolds into hundreds of square meters of internal surface, and chlorine sticks to it on contact, along with the smell it leaves on skin and hair.
Catch the visible
A fiber mesh wraps the entire core and takes the first hit: sediment, rust flakes, and the grit old pipes shed into your water, trapped in the weave before they reach anything else.
Only one way out
Sealed caps close both ends of the cartridge, so there is no shortcut. Every drop passes the mesh and the carbon before it ever reaches the spray face.
It all lives in one slim filter you replace, not a head you throw away.
The refill math
A fresh core: $21.99 every 3 months
Others charge $51.99 for theirs.

Every swap shows you what it caught.
When the filter is due, you pull the used cartridge out and put a fresh one in. What months of your water left behind comes out with it.
An activated carbon filter works by catching what flows through it. Every shower fills a little more of its surface. Once the carbon is saturated it stops catching, and from that day the water passes through as if nothing were there. Swapping the cartridge takes seconds, and it is what keeps the filtration real instead of nominal.
Refills from $21.99.
